377TH THEATER SUS CMD / 1398 DSB, 316 ESC/ BALTIMORE, MD/THIS POSITION REQUIRES ARMY RESERVE MEMBERSHIP
About the Position: This position is for the 377th Theater Sustainment Command, 1398 DSB, 316 Expeditionary Sustainment Command in Baltimore, Maryland.
This position is under the supervision of the Deputy Commander.
Recruitment Bonus and PCS paid Recruitment incentive and PCS paid. Must be new hire to Federal Government or have a break in service from Federal Government. Must incur two year obligation within Department of Defense. Must start on or before 30SEP08.
$3000.00 Recruitment bonus.
PCS paid for the first official duty station.

Major Duties
Serves as the principal administrator responsible for performance of a variety of technical, analytical, advisory, liaison and coordinating duties for the USAR Unit Commander in accomplishing the overall functions of the unit. Plans and establishes priorities; assigns, distributes and reviews work of subordinate unit sections and personnel. Manages unit and individual training. Manages personnel, finance and automated systems activities. Manages and provides technical review of completed personnel actions. Processes a variety of pay actions utilizing Defense Joint Military Pay System-Reserve Component and Automated Drill Attendance Reporting Software systems. Manages a unit supply program. Serves as the key point of contact regarding recruitment and retention for the unit.How to Apply

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Best qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they have training or experience in the following areas: 1) Experience involving technical, analytical, advisory, liaison and coordinating duties for the USAR Unit Commander in the areas of personnel, financial management, training program administration and unit supply program. 2) Responsibility for establishing goals, setting priorities and distributing workload to accomplish the overall mission of the unit.
The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Your pay will be set within the range specified in this vacancy announcement and will be based on your qualification, education, experience, training, and availability of funds. NSPS positions are excluded from time-in-grade restrictions.Applicants must demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies required to perform the work identified in the duties description. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower pay band or equivalent under the General Schedule (GS) or other pay systems. Quality of experience relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background and recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must have the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level.
