About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Supervisory Quality Assurance Specialist (Ammo). Performs a variety of duties associated with Surveillance Information and Operations. Works with the division chief and other Quality Assurance Specialists to establish, maintain, and improve the policies, procedures and records used to support the total surveillance program and its respective data requirements including audit trails. Provides administrative orientations to newly assigned Quality Assurance Specialists (Ammunition Surveillance).

Major Duties

Designs and maintains logs and data files to control the flow and reporting of surveillance quality/reliability related documents, reports, and information. Maintains division computerized ammunition surveillance policy/procedures information program files. Accurately types correspondence, reports, or similar materials from hand written or electronic drafts. Requisitions office supplies, printing support, and related materials. Prepares and submits requisitions. Serves as Training Coordinator for the division analyzing and reviewing their training requirements. Maintains and accurately updates file system. Makes travel arrangements, prepares travel orders and travel vouchers. Advises office staff on administrative and procedural requirements and instructions. Reads and processes incoming correspondence and material. Prepares and consolidates time and attendance data.

General Schedule Specialized Experience: To qualify, candidates for this job must show in their resume that they meet the minimum qualifications equivalent to the lower grade level of GS-04 and must have training or experience such as: 1) Experience with clerical and administrative functions of the office. 2) Experience with producing documents, maintaining files, handling of mail, referring telephone calls and visitor, and standard office equipment such as typewriter, copiers, fax machines. 3) Experience with a computer and a variety of software.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction.Typing - Any Grade: Qualified typist is required (40wpm).GS-05: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to the next lower grade level, or 4 years of higher education above high school, or a combination of experience and education.
