Outside Plant Project Engineer with the technical and planning skills to support Project Managers on multiple projects in all aspects of the construction process, from estimating the project to managing the project. A proven self-starter and team player with a background in the construction industry is desirable. The candidate's ability to successfully work as part of a project team and to support multiple jobs at one time are key. Candidate will have 5 years of experience in OSP engineering design and construction of all OSP communications facilities including aerial and direct buried cable, both fiber optic and copper and underground conduit. Advanced understanding of telephone industry standards, local telecom practices and procedures, local city state and governmental rules and regulations; Successful candidate will have the capability of completing assignments for an entire engineer project; Fielding staking, detail engineering drawings and final approved projects. Experience with project scheduling, estimating and project management software desirable
Excellent communication and organizational abilities are also a requirement. This person must also be proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Office products.
