Job Listing: SEMICONDUCTOR PROCESS TECHNICIANS & ENGINEERS
Volt is seeking test, process, and engineering/ R&D technicians to work on a variety of day and swing shifts. These are full time, direct hire positions offering competitive pay and excellent benefits. Several different positions are available, each focusing on one or more of the following areas: fabrication, testing, failure analysis, solution preparation, process development, quality inspection and alignment, encapsulation and bonding. Responsibilities involve working with scientists and engineers in preparing samples, fabricating devices, setting up and performing tests and experiments, gathering data, tracking and documenting work, and analyzing results. Will cross train on various types of equipment and processes. **Engineering positions also available; please contact Volt's Santa Barbara office for details regarding these and other openings.
Required Skills
Experience working in a wafer processing, laboratory, or other clean room environment. Familiarity with standard safety practices. Experience with at least some of the following: microscopes, glove boxes, evaporators, solvents, vacuum systems, metrology equipment (profilers, SEM, AFM), electronic test equipment, coating and bonding, sputtering, photolithography, chemical dispensing, and other related processes and equipment. Must have the ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accurate documentation such as logs and control charts. Will interact regularly with other team members; must be able to communicate clearly. Computer skills including Word, Excel, and WIP (or similar tracking program). Pre-employment medical and background screening required.
