Reclamation Act in cooperation with States and Tribes. Our primary objectives are to ensure that coal mines are operated in a manner that protects citizens and the environment during mining and assures that the land is restored to beneficial use following mining, and to mitigate the effects of past mining by aggressively pursuing reclamation of abandoned coal mines.

Introduction
This position is located in the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and
Enforcement (OSM), Western Region Technology Management Division, TIPS Training and Technology Transfer Branch (TTTB). The Division is responsible for OSM's national Technology Innovation and Professional Services (TIPS) program and the Information Technology activities for the national TIPS program and the Western Region. TMD is composed of two branches: TTTB and IT Operations (ITOB) he incumbent serves as the Administrative Support Specialist for the TTTB Branch Chief. The incumbent is directly responsible to the Branch Chief and provides multi-functional administrative service activities within the Branch including the national TIPS training program, budget and accounting, procurement, and travel.
