Please submit a narrative response to each knowledge, skill or ability listed. Your response should describe what you did, how often you performed this activity, the guidelines available, the complexity of the assignment, and who you performed the activity for or with.

CTAP/ICTAP: Individuals who have special priority rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program must be well-qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. To be considered well qualified, applicants must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements, be able to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry into the position, and attain an eligibility rating of 90 or above.

Basic Entry Requirements: General Biologist GS-401 requires a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, OR combination of education and experience with courses equivalent to a major as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as follows:
For the GS-9: Two years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree OR master's or equivalent graduate degree OR one year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-7.
For the GS-11: Three years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree OR Ph.D or equivalent doctor degree OR one year specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-9.
NOTE: Education and experience may be combined for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
Specialized Experience is that experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must certify that they have registered with the Selective Service System, or are exempt from having to do so under the Selective Service Law.
A background security investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to applicants successfully completing a background investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for termination.
You will be required to maintain firearm proficiency and carry a firearm while performing duties of this position.
Incumbent must operate a government vehicle. You must have a valid driver's license to qualify for this position.
This is a drug testing designated position. In accordance with Executive Order 12564, applicants selected for this position are required to submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test result prior to appointment. In addition, this position is subject to random and reasonable suspicion testing for illegal drug use.
Selectee must be free of any domestic violence convictions.
You will be given helicopter safety training and will need to safely work around and fly in rotary wing aircraft.
You will be required to wear a NPS uniform.
You must be able to secure and maintain a Red-Card Fire Fighter Certification.
All federal employees are required by PL 104-134 to have Federal payments made by direct deposit.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The position may require strenuous physical activity including periods of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting and carrying heavy objects. Some activities will occur in physically dangerous areas or settings. Documentary research and report writing work is sedentary, which entails the ability to concentrate and write for long periods of time.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in weather that is always hot and humid in potentially hazardous areas. While working outside, you are exposed to bright sun, rain, wind, dust, and biting insects. You may be required to drive and hike over rough terrain, work around and fly in helicopters and be required to carry and safely use a firearm.
