GREEN BUILDING ENGINEERING GROUP LEAD
The primary focus of this position is senior leadership with revenue generation responsibility and technical consulting expertise.
As Green Building Engineering Group Lead, you will:
- Build the business through direct interaction with current and prospective clients.
- Manage pursuit process for key competitive business opportunities
- Provide advanced technical consulting for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil and control systems
- Ensure client satisfaction and retention through optimum delivery
of the conceptual and technical consult
- Lead and mentor a team to optimize performance and profit
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to identify and create new service offerings
The successful candidate shall demonstrate the ability to think strategically/conceptually, implement successfully at the building level and collaborate well with diverse groups and interests. 25% travel is expected.
Qualifications & Experience
A degree in engineering, or allied field
15+ years professional experience, with clear progressive advancement in engineering team management:
8+ years professional registration
8+ years project management experience, leading teams and serving clients profitably
5+ years line of business management with revenue/profit responsibility
2+ years LEED experience, including demonstrated LEED-EB successes
Facilities maintenance and operations background or equivalent experience
Advanced knowledge of high performance buildings with direct experience in:
Building science: MEP and/or civil design for active/passive/hybrid systems; envelope/façade development; displacement ventilation /UFAD systems; control sequences
Environmental quality: day lighting, air quality, acoustics, human ecology, ventilation effectiveness Renewable energy: on-site solar, PV, wind, geo-thermal for building and campus projects
Facilities operations and maintenance: existing building or campus O&M; monitoring, verification/evaluation of building performance; continuous improvement processes, DSM, commissioning
-Strong writing skills and technical presentation ability
-Proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
-MBA / business experience preferred but not required
-A sense of humor and a knack for innovation and problem solving, and a collaborative, solutions-oriented working style

Rate: $90,000 to $105,000 per Year
