Job Listing: Purchasing Agent

Our client, located in the Vacaville area, is currently seeking a purchasing agent to handle their buying processes and negotiate the best rates in the industry. This person will support the procurement for 15 different project managers and buying different products for different projects that are going on.
Project purchasing is different than regular purchasing and requires more multi-tasking and the ability to purchase many type of products at the same time.
This person will also establish vendor relationships, develop purchasing procedures, acquire pricing updates, put together plans for cost savings, manage day to day material status, ensure no missed customer deliveries due to late material receipts, negotiating rates and report material information to accounting.

To be qualified for this position, candidates must have at least 3 years of purchasing experience. Within those 3 years candidates must have experience handling "project purchasing" or purchasing within the construction industry.
Knowledge of Great Plains is a plus and this person must be experienced in MS Office.
