Job Listing: Automotive Procurement Senior Manager

Aerotek is a national recruiting company that is seeking to hire a Procurement Senior Manager for an automotive manufacturing company in Georgia. This is a direct placement with the client, not a contract.

Duties:
* Direct the necessary data collection required for benchmarking, cost analysis, compliance reporting, and price negotiations. Communicate recommendations based on information derived from benchmark information.
* Identify areas of cost possible cost reduction and lead yearly cost reductions activities
* Manage supply base for production parts, components and systems through subordinates.
* Take charge of cost control for purchased parts and maintain the cost within budget

Qualifications:
* Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Automotive manufacturing experience
* OEM or parts components supplier experience preferred
* Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and organizational skills
* Long-term planning and strategy development
* Ability to lead people and get results through others
* Develop and define priorities and take appropriate action consistent with company objective
* In depth knowledge of supply chain and accounting processes
* Prior procurement experience in automotive industry is preferred

Education:
* Bachelors Degree in related discipline – Masters Preferred
* Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred

Compensation:
* Based on experience and qualifications
