Job Listing: Transportation Construction Manager

International Engineering Consulting Firm is seeking a Construction Manager for their Transportation Division.

This Construction Manager will be acting as the Resident Project Representative on major assignments ensuring proper performance of field observations and reports through coordination of progress meetings with the general contractor and owner. This is an immediate and permanent opportunity. The salary range depends on experience.

Job Duties Include:

- Analyzing and negotiating change orders.
- Performing constructability reviews of plans and resolving contractor questions.
- Managing local staff of construction service personnel.
- Acting as a liaison between field construction service staff and design engineers.
- Providing quality assurance checks for project compliance with the company's policies and procedures.
- Oversees project budget and prepare/negotiate/resolve contract change order requests with clients.
- Prepare project proposals, SOQ responses, and cost estimates.
- Other duties may be required.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Construction Management required, Masters Degree preferred.
- Be a registered Illinois Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
- 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience with IDOT construction strongly preferred.
