Job Listing: Manager Space System Acquisition Egineer

Job Description/Daily Tasks:
Position Responsibilities

- Represent Intelsat in overseeing procurement of new satellites at Orbital Sciences Corp. Responsible for all technical and schedule aspects of procurement from contract signature to start of in-orbit service.
- Evaluate satellite proposals.
- Review overall system design, including system and subsystem redundancy.
- Review and critique bus architecture.
- Evaluate unit layout such as power, mechanical, redundancy and thermal.
- Review Test Requirements Documents and Test Specs.
- Provide subsystem and system support including data review and troubleshooting.
- Participate in Mission Design Review and Readiness review.
- Attend in-orbit test planning meetings.
- Evaluate satellite production schedules
¿ Will spend time in the satellite manufacturing and test facility

Basic Qualifications

- BS in either EE, Physics, Aerospace, or Mathematics
- 4+ years of Satellite design, manufacturing, and test experience.
- Competency in Bus electrical subsystems (power electronics, solar arrays, batteries)
- Must be capable of performing independent evaluation of satellite performance budgets.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without Sponsorship
