A global supplier of systems and services to the Aerospace, Defense and Homeland Security markets is looking to hire a Systems Architect.
Position Description:
The purpose of this position is to provide support from both a Technology and Application Development perspective, to various business units experiencing changing requirements.
Principal Responsibilities:

Provide Enterprise Applications/Integration design, analysis, and software development across multiple projects as required, including:

Customer Facing Web Portal/eCommerce sites
ERP
HR Management
Global Trade Services

Provide Integration Support for existing Integration components as well as for implementing new technologies as required.
Adhere to the overall architecture standards (i.e. applications, data, and technical infrastructure) of various Applications projects.
Provide technical knowledge and advice for software and hardware integration between legacy business systems and web-based solutions.
Coordinate interface design and back-end application design and development.
Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for Data Architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, department managers, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Create short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall Data Management roadmap.
Develop and promote Data Management methodologies and standards.
Collaborate with Project Managers and Business Unit leaders for all projects involving SBU/Enterprise data.

Required Skills

Required Skills for this Systems Architect position include the following:

4 years of work experience as a Data or Information Architect.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in implementing Internet and/or web-based software, with a preference for direct experience doing large-scale integration development.
Strong familiarity with Metadata Management and associated processes.
Hands-on knowledge of the following tools:

Enterprise Repository
Data Modeling
Data Mapping
Data Profiling

Experience with:

Business Requirements Analysis
Entity Relationship Planning
Database Design
Reporting Structures

Understanding of Web Services (i.e. SOAP, XML, UDDI, WSDL).
Excellent client/user interaction skills to determine requirements.
Working technical knowledge of current systems software, protocols, and standards.
Experience with Load Balancing and Capacity Management for strategic planning of technology.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong Project Planning experience on an Enterprise level.
Knowledge of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) tools, with a preference for direct experience with Sun SeeBeyond suite of integration tools.
The ability to understand complex business requirements and translate those requirements into solutions.
In-depth understanding and experience deploying major technologies, to include:

Network Architecture
UNIX/Windows platforms
Database structures (Oracle/SQL Server)
Web technologies (PL/SQL, HTML, Java)
EAI/Middleware

Experience in developing complex Software Integration systems across multiple locations.
