The successful candidate should possess:
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or preferred level three to six years equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a basic knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial statements and related reports; Experience in forecasting and statistic modeling. Knowledge of default and delinquency modeling for mortgage or other consumer credit products; Expert in the use of software for data handling and model development. Database query and data analysis skills required; Must be able to handle projects with a minimum of oversight and supervision and must be able to make contributions to the group's knowledge base by proposing new and valuable ways for approaching problems and projects. Computer Software Skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, Project Other Computer Skills; SAS experience helpful; Ability to develop database queries and reports; Strong MS Excel skills; Strong MS Access skills Other Skills: Financial Analysis experience helpful; Mortgage industry experience helpful; Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to transform spoken or written words into reporting requirements and ultimately a finished product; Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, investors, servicing clients and ratings agencies. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference; Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations; Financial analysis skills related to profitability, budgeting, delinquency and other portfolio and business metrics; Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Must be able to pass background and drug screening evaluations.
