Job Listing: Business/Requirements Analyst

TEKsystems has an immediate need for a Business/Requirements Analyst. The client is located in the Denver Tech Center and this position is a 6-12 month contract that can interview and start immediately.

The client is looking for candidates with RUP (Rational Unified Process), UML, Use Case and data modeling experience. This person will be responsible for:
-Consults with customers to research and identify advanced requirements for application or system design.
-Interprets and translates complex requirements into functional or technical specifications.
-Leads others to create application architectures, designs, programs, testing and supporting documentation for complex computing applications.
-Writes and compiles code and may construct complex database objects based on documented design.
-Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain software functionality.
-Provides end user support on complex issues and identifies and recommends improvements to system architecture.
-Coordinates with process owners, computing systems architects, and system and database administrators.

Competencies:
-Ability to analyze large complex data sets
-Ability to map and extract data from source systems to data models
-Ability to identify and investigate data quality issues
-Ability to work effectively with business SMEs to understand the data and how it is used
-Must have understanding of data modeling
-Proficiency in SQL, including the use of Sybase and Oracle
-Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
-Experience with data quality and profiling tools, such as Trillium
-Experience with ETL tools, such as Informatica
-Geo-Spatial Experience preferred but not required

The environment is: J2EE, .Net, Weblogic, Oracle, JAD, Reqpro, ClearCase, ClearQuest and Primavera. Experience with any of these is NOT required but a plus.
