Job Listing: Quality Assurance Manager

Aerotek are currently recruiting a Manager of Quality Assurance, for our trusted client based in Corry, PA. This exempt position will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for, but not limited to:

¿ Planning, developing, and implementing techniques, process, and procedures for controlling and maintaining the level of quality demanded by our present and future customers.
¿ Development of a proactive program to reduce the incidence of scrap before the fact. Program identifies trends and the solutions to solve the problems before markets and products are brought on line.
¿ Direct the ISO-9002, NCA 3800, MIL-II-45208 program to insure the company is in compliance and capable of withstanding semi and yearly qualification audits.
¿ Maintain plant wide programs, including scorecards and employee training, to enhance the quality of our management team.
¿ Direct and control vendor audits and their quality programs in conjunction with the Material Engineering Departments.
¿ Interface with the other metal forming divisions to insure uniformity in our overall quality program.
¿ Generate monthly business report on the “state of the company’ with regards to quality and our overall progress.
¿ Direct all quality efforts including dimensional and nondestructive testing.
¿ Perform and assist with other duties as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

¿ Minimum 4 year Technical Degree with 2 years of experience.
¿ Good working knowledge of the metals industry and the processes and equipment.
¿ Solid understanding of Quality Assurance and ISO 9000.
¿ Exceptional reading comprehension, drawing interpretation, problem solving skills and decision making skills.
¿ The ability to effectively manage and evaluate people.
¿ ASTM, ASME, and more complex military specifications.
¿ Strong computer skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
¿ Supervisory experience in a quality field
¿ Experience in heavy metals and heavy industrial facility.
