Job Listing: Mechanical Engineer / Plumbing Designer

Aerotek Architecture & Engineering is looking to find an experienced plumbing designer to fill a position for one of our clients in the Charlotte, NC area.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in Architectural or Mechanical engineering (or equivalent design experience) with experience in the M/E/P industry working on the design of plumbing systems for commercial building projects. Plumbing Engineers and Plumbing Designers should have experience with Auto CAD and a working knowledge of building plumbing systems and applicable codes.

Responsibilities:

* Sizing and selection of plumbing and fire protection equipment and systems.

* Produce complete sets of plumbing drawings and specifications

* Coordination of documents with other disciplines (Architectural, Structural, Civil, HVAC, Electrical) and ability to work efficiently with General and Subcontractors

* Production of design reports

* Perform limited plan checking when necessary

* The ability to manage and expedite multiple priorities
