Job Listing: Certified Medical Coder

A top notch surgical center in Los Angeles is seeking a qualified full-time Certified Medical Coder to join their growing organization.
Our client is dedicated to providing patients with the absolute best that modern medicine has to offer and setting new standards of excellence in healthcare.

As an essential role in the medical coding process, the medical coder is responsible for ensuring that all requests for diagnostics and blood work issued by a doctor contains the use of standard medical coding that is recognized by health insurance providers. Along with appearing on the requests for testing that are authorized by doctors, the same set of codes are used to encode any claims that are generated and submitted to the health insurance provider. The function of the medical coder is to ensure that the correct codes are used so that the correct testing is conducted, and the insurance company can quickly and efficiently review and process received claims. This position is responsible for multi-specialty coding for 7+ facilities.

Required Skills

Minimum 3 years experience, CPCH coder preferred. ASC Certification required. Must have ability to code outpatient records for a multi-specialty surgical outpatient clinic with demonstrated accuracy and must meet productivity standards. Possess a high level of analytical and problem solving skills.

High school diploma required. Strong computer and clerical skills, must be able to communicate in a professional manner.
