Required Skills

Requirements:

2+ years experience developing commercial-quality web applications.
Bachelor’s degree in human-computer interaction, computer science, or equivalent experience.
Proficient in HTML / XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ActionScript.
Working knowledge of:
ASP.NET
FLASH / ACTIONSCRIPT
XML / XSL
MS SQL
WPF is a plus.
Strong background in developing cross-browser web applications.
Strong background in developing cross-platform web applications (Windows).
Strong human-computer interface and user-centered design skills
Strong knowledge of usability best practices.
Demonstrated experience designing and developing web-based interfaces for complex systems.
Proven history of being able to work under pressure, manage multiple simultaneous projects, interface with customers and consistently meet deadlines.
Experience working on multi-developer projects with the relevant best-practices and development methodologies.
Ability to create detailed application user interface specification from high-level user requirements.
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
Solid troubleshooting and analysis skills with attention to detail and quality.
Solid interpersonal skills and ability to communicate interface requirements and concepts throughout the organization.


Preferences:

Background in e-commerce development; including shopping carts, online order management systems, and online customer management systems.
Background in or experience with conducting heuristic usability evaluations.
Experience using MS SQL and an understanding of database fundamentals.
Experience with search engine optimization best practices.
Experience with Web service design and implementation.
Background in Object oriented programming and design.
Experience with project requirements definition, analysis, and documentation.




Responsibilities:



Proposes, designs and develops web-based user interfaces for software products to produce best-in-class web-based software applications.
Implement and enhance product features under both ASP and ASP.NET which interface with relational databases, server-side components/services, and various backend systems..
Gauge the usability of new and existing products and make constructive suggestions for change.
Work with System Developers to set standards for user interface design, provide guidance on web interface, accessibility and usability issues.
Work with product management to conduct usability and accessibility reviews for new and existing products.
Work with product management and development team to refine functional requirements and develop prototype user interfaces.
Work with the Quality Assurance team to define usability requirements.
Use insight and creativity to suggest and/or implement new interfaces and usability improvements that increase the value of the product.
Work with the Quality Assurance team to address identified usability concerns and determine appropriate resolutions.
Effectively communicate user interface requirements and changes to all levels of the organization.

Salary and Benefits

55,000.00 - 65,000.00 Annual DOE
