Job Listing: Inventory Control Specialist
EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST WITH SARBANES OXLEY EXPERIENCE!
In this role you will support the Inventory Control Manager to ensure that physical inventories are performed in compliance with the Corporate Controller's Policy and you will also act as Sarbanes Oxley (S-Ox) sub-Control Owner.
In addition you will also handle the following:
-Support Inventory Control Manager to ensure adherence to all WMS/S-Ox policies and procedures related to inventory
-Perform activities & reporting related to Excess & Obsolete Inventory
-Support Cycle Counting process to ensure system compliance
You will also work with other Inventory Control Specialists to ensure the following:
-Daily balancing of WMS to SAP is done in compliance with S-Ox requirements
-Monitoring, tracking, and correcting of shipping errors
-Proper invoicing of customer shipments in SAP
-Proper information is provided to corporate damage team for freight claim reconciliation
-Monitoring of all inventory reports
-Implementation of proper Quality Hold procedures
-Ensure appropriate activation and de-activation of UPC's in the distribution control system as required
-Verify incoming receipts from manufacturing facilities and contract manufacturers are correct and in compliance with FIFO rules
-Compare finished goods case inventories to pallet detail maintaining FIFO and product organization
-Identify potential causes of discrepancies
-Perform ABC velocity analysis quarterly and update WMS as necessary
-Ensure procedures are followed for damaged and expired disposition in compliance with all corporate guidelines
-Support inventory control team initiatives around aging inventory and GMR
-Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports
-Act as backup for other Inventory Control Specialists
Required Skills
To qualify for this position you must have one to two years of experience in a similar role. In addition, you must also possess the following:
Strong interpersonal skills, and show an ability to work and participate effectively in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must possess strong analytical skills, including problem analysis and resolution
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, MS Project, M204, Inventory Mgmt, FACS, and WMS, preferably Red Prairie DLX software, SAP
Must be available to work weekends as needed
