Summary:
Our client is a leading biotechnology company focused on developing proteases as a therapeutic platform for inflammation, cardiovascular, and angiogenesis-based disorders. They are developing a new generation of biopharmaceuticals that harnesses the catalytic power of engineered proteases to target disease causing proteins.
Responsibilities:
The molecular biologist will be responsible for the design and execution of cloning experiments. They will use rapid mutageneisis and other forms of gene and vector manipulation. Experience in quick-change mutagenesis methods, recombination-based plasmid manipulations and other sub-cloning methods is essential. Experience with appropriate informatics tools is also required.
Requirements:
-BS/MS/PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry or relevant fields.
-2-5 years of industry experience
-Experience in protein engineering, rDNA
-Comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
-Familiarity with informatics tools for DNA sequence and plasmid manipulation.
