Job Description:
Project Electrical Engineer with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years experience in electrical project engineering required (Chemical Industry experience preferred). Professional Engineering Registration is preferred but not required. Must possess excellent communication and human relations skills. Detailed working knowledge of Engineering, Purchasing, Construction and Contract Administration practices is required. A highly developed knowledge in the use of personal computers for the sizing and documentation of electrical equipment as-well-as functions of project management is required.
Responsible for the management and execution of the electrical portion of several concurrent complex capital projects at the Freeport, TX site. Must provide project leadership, discipline leadership and technical expertise to a team of both in-house and contract design personnel working on projects. This involves preparation of detailed construction drawings and specifications: specification and procurement of engineered items; and resolution of questions and conflicts during construction. Must coordinate activities closely with peers in other fields of expertise and with operating unit personnel. Must be willing to accept responsibility for challenging assignments and demonstrate a great deal of initiative to accomplish the required objectives with minimal supervision.
