Job Listing: Site Survey Technician

TEKsystems Engineering Furnishing & Installation Solutions team is looking for a highly motivated, thorough site survey technician for a long-term contract position with the potential to go permanent. The candidate should have a minimum of five years experience in Central Office Engineering, and previous enterprise level telecommunications experience is highly recommended. Daily responsibilities will include overseeing multiple job sites, doing site surveys at locations throughout the northeast region, developing a project plan from site survey documentation, developing LOM/BOM, verifying customer orders against existing data banks, and assisting field technicians with on time engineering plans.

Your site survey experience must include all facets of Telecom connectivity, be it Copper, Coax or Fiber; all facets of infrastructure, overhead cable racking, fiber management and equipment rack design and all assembly options. You must be willing to assist in the training of an onsite work force. You must possess strong customer service skills and the willingness to work anytime of the day, anywhere needed. You will have the ability and autonomy to work from home with very little supervision. Must have a reliable means of transportation.

The qualified candidate will be required to submit weekly and daily reports by laptop computer, and should have working knowledge of MS Windows, MS Word, MS XL, MS Outlook and recent versions of Auto CAD. An online certification process will be required for all candidates under consideration.
