Senior Client Engagement Manager
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000
Job Description:
The Senior Client Engagement Manager is responsible for day to day management of client engagement services and solution implementations, and provides business consulting, knowledge expertise in strategic performance management methodologies, process assessment work, and the application of technologies to business. The Senior Client Engagement Manager has a key role to foster customer loyalty by ensuring that our customers fully utilize the value of our solutions and services. An outcome of success in this role, is to maintain the customers existing revenue spend and strategically upsell additional products and services.
The Senior Client Engagement Manager determines the project tasks necessary to deliver the scope of engagement services and a solution implementation to meet the client’s needs; schedule and align resources with tasks and priorities, coordinate interaction and activities with the customer and other stakeholders and keep the project team focused on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of the solution. The Senior Client Engagement Manager adheres to a standard set of practices based on CMMI and PMI best practices that ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts and deliverables
The Senior Client Engagement Manager teams with the executive consulting staff to work with clients to understand their unique business needs, and to develop and implement solutions utilizing standard methodologies.
The consulting role includes further data gathering and analysis, providing consultative support to the client based on expertise and experience, teaming with the executive consultant to develop implement, and communicate solutions to the client.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple large-scale customer solution implementation projects according to standard practices
- Drive expansion of Software, Implementation, and Consulting business at existing clients.
- Where applicable, manage multiple project teams
- Responsible for software & consulting solution implementations from kick off meeting, to turnover and support
- Develop detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and budget tracking documents and ensure that they are maintained and adhered to throughout the lifecycle of each project
- Coordinate and facilitate all training efforts needed for the implementation
- Assist clients with the configuration of the application based on their workflow and business needs
- Coordinate, facilitate and/or deliver consulting activities needed for the implementation
- Communicate data integration requirements to the Data Integration Services group and ensure that data integrations are completed correctly and on time
- Trainer of customer technical and user teams, providing both class training, and on-the-job training
- Solution Expert, providing assistance on how to configure and implement the solution
- Functional Expert, providing best practices for the implementation of relevant processes and procedures
- Coaching and mentoring team members
- Communicate status throughout the project lifecycle to all stakeholders
- Manage and build the client relationship and opportunities for business expansion with the client
Requirements:
- 8 plus yrs. experience and demonstrated success in a project management role managing the multiple, complex business application / software implementations
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Project and other MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Must have a solid track record of being a team player
- Must have demonstrated success leading project teams and a record of high customer satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to plan all necessary project tasks to satisfy customer needs and ensure they are properly and realistically scheduled, budgeted, monitored and reported
- Experience creating and presenting internal and external status reports and detailed status reports suitable for presentation to senior-level stakeholders
- Ability to lead and facilitate project meetings
- Extremely strong written & oral communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify risks that may impact the success of the project and determine appropriate mitigating actions
- Classroom training experience in software application & business methodology training
- Ability to manage and direct client expectations
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time
- Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to step in and make things happen
- BS / BA degree in Computer Science, Business Management or a related field or equivalent work experience
- Knowledge of PMI best practices and/or certification
- Working experience with Balanced Scorecards and/or Six Sigma strategy execution High degree of technical skills (familiarity with XML/XSL/SQL), as well as database knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle methodologies
- Prior experience working in a growing, fast-paced organization with a dynamic environment
- Should also have strong proactive account management skills with an ability to identify opportunities
- Must be able to work in the United States
