Our Client needs world-class Engineers to join their team in developing online voice service over IP platform and services to bring together people using PCs and telephones around the world.
This team specializes in connecting (via voice) people searching online with merchants who can deliver what they need. The team also focuses on unifying communications - realizing the convenience customers deserve where they can check voice mail from any source (such as home or mobile) from multiple devices using products such as email, instant messaging and it's all in sync.
They are looking for someone who is comfortable with less documentation and quicker cycle of development; who has enthusiasm for solving interesting problems in a small team environment.

This is an estimated 6 to 12 month contract position, through Volt Technical Resources - a division of a Fortune 1000 publicly traded Staffing Industry Leader, which is headquartered in Redmond, Washington. We are among the largest IT staffing companies in the US for contract/temporary and direct hire placements and support most of the top rated IT companies in the Pacific Northwest.

Required Skills for this Software Design Engineer includes the following:
Experience using test driven development and agile methods such as Scrum or Extreme Programming
Experience with Windows environments (Windows Server 2003 specifically)
C# development experience, including ASP.NET, ADO.NET
Experience with SOAP Web Services, WCF, ASP.NET, MSMQ, SQL, network programming and general web skills (HTML, JavaScript, XHTML)
Experience building/debugging highly scalable distributed systems
Education requirements: BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent 4 years of software development experience
Bonus skills:
Telecom Engineering experience including VOIP (SIP/RTP) is strongly desirable
MS Speech server
