The Software Giant of Redmond, Washington is seeking a Search Engine Campaign Product Manager to help define and implement their strategy for various website properties using Search Engine Marketing (SEM) as the driving tactic. The company's online channels for automotive, money, travel, entertainment and others all have a need to drive targeted traffic to their sites to increase engagement or acquisition. Your talents in knowing how to develop SEM strategies to do just that is critical to their success.
As a member of this SEM team, you will help build a strategy and set up and run campaigns that consist of thousands of keywords. You must have extensive experience and know how to run your campaigns within adCenter, Panama and Google’s adwords user interface. In addition, you should consider yourself a Web Analytics Expert and junkie because within their massive amounts of data lies the keys to improved results and better profitability.
As a member of this SEM team, your primary responsibilities of the role will include:
Making product and service recommendations to optimize traffic to the site from the major search engines based on thorough analysis of reports and other information on those engines.
Developing effective plans to optimize both the Click Thru Rate (CTR) and return on investment (ROI) of their SEM investments.
Driving costs down through the constant monitoring and improvement of cost per clicks (CPCs) and CTR. Working closely with the product development organization to ensure the best possible implementation of recommendations for each area.
Working to keep the product development organization up to date on search related tools, technologies, opportunities and the site’s overall search related performance.

Required Skills for this Search Engine Marketing Manager position includes the following:
Strong interest in consumer products and services, marketing, and search technologies.
Experience working in a software product development environment.
Relevant experience in a product management capacity.
Experience conducting and analyzing research (qualitative and quantitative).
Experience building and running mature paid search campaigns in the tens-of-thousands of keywords and with daily budgets in thousands - preferably for recognizable brands. Extensive, direct, hands-on experience required using adwords, “Panama” and adCenter platforms.
Strong sense of marketing and customer response.
Strong analytical, critical thinking and communications skills.
BA in a related field is preferred.
