Job Listing: Tech Writer
Volt Technical Resources is looking to fill a 4 month contract position in the Richardson, TX area in which the candidate will be responsible for obtaining data and information from review of documentation, drawings, schematics and reports, consultation with technical staff members and study of published material. The Technical Writer will be developing military operation and maintenance manuals for military personnel
Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in group or department. Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity. Follows established policies & procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Ensures accuracy and completeness of Technical Documentation.
Analyzes requirements of project to determine types of publications needed. May develop source material, consults engineering and technical staff and works with editors, illustrators and the like in preparing a draft. Provides guidance and direction in the areas of quality, graphics, coverage, format and style. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other personnel. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

REQUIRED:
•4+ years of experience with FRAMEMAKER
•4+ years of experience with InterLeaf
PREFERRED:
•Previous experience in the development of military operation and maintenance manuals is preferred
