1 vacancy - Washington DC Metro Area, DC The Department of the Treasury, Office of Inspector General (OIG) is
looking for a talented senior executive to lead its Office of
Management(OM).
The executive chosen for this job will be responsible for the
policy, planning and resource programs in support of the OIG's
mission.
Major Duties
You will serve as the Assistant Inspector General for
Management (AIGM) in the Office of Inspector General (OIG) and
serves as a strategic member of the OIG Senior Management Group.
The incumbent is a key advisor to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG)
and Inspector General (IG) and provides executive leadership to the
Office of Management through the Deputy Assistant Inspector General
for Management (DAIGM), immediate staff, and three subordinate
division managers.
Serves as an advisor to the Deputy Inspector General/Inspector
General on administrative and technical policy and procedures in the
functional areas of human resources, payroll, administrative
services, procurement, travel management, facilities management,
budget, and information technology technical services and
information management systems support.
Incumbent develops and maintains OIG policies and procedures and
coordinates OIG planning efforts that may cross other organizational
entities. Oversees the development, administration, and provision
of all administrative and support services required by the OIG.
Oversees OIG's response to Congressional, Office of Management and
Budget, and President's Council on Integrity and Efficiency, and
other external organizations requesting data involving OIG programs,
policies, and activities.

Qualifications
Managerial Qualifications:
Prior to appointment the Office of Personnel Management (OPM)
reviews and certifies the managerial qualifications of each new
career appointee to the Senior Executive Service, who must submit a
written statement addressing the five Executive Core Qualifications
(ECQs):(1) Leading Change; (2) Leading People; (3)Results Driven;
(4) Business Acumen; (5) Building Coalitions.
Current/Former SES Career Appointees and SES Candidate Development
graduates (with OPM QRB certification) do not need to submit ECQs to
be considered.
Your ECQ statement cannot exceed 10 pages and should focus on
professional challenges, contexts, actions, and results that
demonstrate you have achieved each of the ECQs. Your examples
should be clear and concise, and emphasize your level of
responsibilities, scope and complexity of programs managed, program
accomplishments with results of your actions, policy initiatives,
and level of contacts. We strongly encourage you to look at the ECQ
definitions and samples on OPM's website: www.opm.gov/ses/ecq.html.This position does not have an education requirement but
undergraduate or higher level degree is desirable
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. You will need to complete a pre-employment screening and
background investigation, which may include investigative interviews

begin work.
2. The nature of the OIG mission requires employees to work without
the influence of illegal drugs. We will require you to participate
in a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to
appointment. We cannot appoint any applicant who refuses to be
tested or tests positive for the use of illegal drugs.
3. You will need to complete a "Declaration for Federal Employment"
(OF-306) so we can determine your suitability for Federal
employment. You will also need to sign and certify the accuracy of
all information in your application/resume. You must answer all
questions truthfully and completely. A false statement on any part

result in termination after you begin work.

Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: 114,468.00 - 172,200.00 USD per year
