Description of the office and working environment: This position deals with facility management working with civilian and military personnel.

Major Duties

Assist in development/preparation of Master/5-year Maintenance/Repair/Annual Management Plans. Advise staff on adequacy/physical condition of facility.Serve as technical advisor. Develop/disseminate guidance/interpretations/implement instructions.Provide cost estimates. Prepare documents for operation/maintenance/repair/minor construction facility. Develop/implement/manage SF-44/Credit Card/contracting program.Monitor funding/maintain data bases. Maintain liaison between RSC/agencies to ensure facilities are adequately maintained. Work closely with budget personnel. Manage BASOPS RPMA activities/programs/projects. Schedule/make staff visits. Inspect facilities/determine required maintenance/repair activities/utilization of existing assets/adequacy of contractual requirements/provide technical advice/instruction in facility management procedures. Plan/develop/conduct training.Analyze facility data/reports & maintain records/charts. Analyze systems to determine if upgrading is required.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:Experience performing administrative work that involves operating and maintaining buildings, grounds, and other facilities such as posts, bases, shipyards, depots, medical or health care facilities, power plants, navigation locks, parks, forests, and roadways. The work requires administrative knowledge and skills and broad technical knowledge of the operating capabilities and maintenance requirements of various kinds of facilities, physical plants, and equipment. Involves coordinating and directing work performed by a variety of trades and labor employees, and requires broad knowledge of such work.




The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Your pay will be set within the range specified in this vacancy announcement and will be based on your qualification, education, experience, training, and availability of funds. NSPS positions are excluded from time-in-grade restrictions.Applicants must demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies required to perform the work identified in the duties description. Applicants must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower pay band or equivalent under the General Schedule (GS) or other pay systems. Quality of experience relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background and recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must have the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level.
