CORE SKILLS: Minimum of 3 years experience in an Industrial environment. Electrical/Electronic Maintenance BG, PLC and basic programming experience, hydraulics, pneumatics, installation and repair of production equipment such as packaging and conveyor systems.
HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS: Ammonia Refrigeration, Waste Water Maintenance and Testing, Infrared maintenance devices, Vibration Analysis, basic PLC programming with experience hooking a laptop to the production machines to adjust and reset the timing for production machines and equipment.
- Ability to understand and read machine assembly drawings including blueprints, hydraulic, control circuit electrical, pneumatic and schematics ladder logic diagrams for the complete installation and repair of both automated and manual beef processing equipment.
- Basic programming and troubleshooting on PLC's (Programmable Logic Controls).
- Ability to perform basic diagnostic skills on MFC's (Manufacturing Process Controls) and demonstrate an aptitude to repair electrical/electronic units, mechanical/moving marts, plumbing, motors, compressors, conveyors, forklifts and additional industrial equipment as needed.
- Must be computer proficient with the ability to read, write and communicate in English at a HS level or higher.
- General math skills with the ability to read a tape measure and fine measuring devices.
- Must be comfortable working in a beef processing environment to include both hamburger grinding operations and full-cycle cattle processing with the ability to perform routine and specialized maintenance on the machines and facility under minimal supervision.
- Must maintain compliance to both external regulations, internal maintenance policies to meet or exceed USDA standards.
- Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in Industrial Maintenance preferably in meat processing or food related industry. Candidates possessing a combination of work experience and Certification/Training Certificate or Associate's Degree from a recognized Technical or Vocational Program will also be considered.
- Maintenance experience in a Food/USDA related industry is strongly preferred.
- HS/GED Required
- Travel will be required to other facilities within the U.S. for initial training. All travel expenses will be paid by the company.
