Job Listing: Senior Product Designer

Our client, a leading consumer products company located in Carlsbad, CA, is looking for a Senior Level Industrial Design Engineer.

The Qualified candidate must have:
-7+ years experience designing and developing products from concept through pre-production engineering samples.

-Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, and understanding the incorporation of marketing principles into specific design projects.

-Hand sketching is mandatory as is verbal/written communications between departments, vendors, and manufacturing staff.

-Experience with 3D software (Unigraphics, Alias, SolidWorks) and Adobe CS programs required. Word and Excel program skills are a plus.

-Successful candidates should be able to translate simple 2D sketches into 3D digital information which can be used for Rapid Prototyping, direct milling, or stress analysis.

-Detail oriented candidates should have the ability to troubleshoot or resolve development issues while ensuring that other managed projects continue on schedule.

-Flexibility is key to the applicant's success.
