Costing Manager

Short Term Expectations 3 Months:

- Successfully used all AE department processes and resources- quote at least one opportunity completely
- Met with all sales management and AM and became familiar with assignments- attends first sales meeting
- Met with all Operations Staff and became familiar with basic processes
- Leads cost reviews with assistance of AE Mgr and Dayton Costing Mgr.
- Develops a full understanding of all the costing spreadsheets
- Developed a proficiency with encompix and standard cost database


Medium Term Expectations 6 Months:
- Started to analyze standard cost data variables
- Independently leading all cost reviews
- Attending all close out meetings
- Overseeing the transfer of encompix data and survey data into the standard cost database

1 year expectations
- Submitted at least 2 departmental Continuous improvement suggestions
- Demonstrated a clear pattern of seeking out least costly solutions that meet the customer requirements
- Serves as a backup to the Applications Mgr.
- Actual Project results demonstrate quoted estimate accuracy
- Trains new application engineers on standard costing methodology
