Job Listing: Cell Biologist

Our client, a Life Science company whose mission is to accelerate healing, is looking for a Cell Biologist.

On a day to day basis, this person will:
- Establish and maintain primary cell cultures lines from humans and animals. They will be required to create and stock various reagent and tissue culture media.
- Work with outside labs and universities in the development of cellular based assays for clinical diagnostics.
- Prepares cultures by obtaining in-process and finished product samples.
- Perform in-coming raw material screening tests as well as testing for in-process and finished product testing in a timely manner to meet product release schedule. Tests include pH, gel-clot endotoxin, sterility product testing, osmolality, stability real-time and accelerated testing, etc.
- Perform routine functions including media preparation, cell culture propagation, operation of fermenters and batch qualifications.
- Perform environmental monitoring testing to demonstrate control of aseptic processing critical area, in Clean room Class 100 (ISO 5)
- Participate in day-to-day Quality Control Laboratory operations as well as Manufacturing operations to ensure that they are performed efficiently and in compliance with the various regulatory agencies and internal procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills for Cell Biologist Job:

  • B.S IN MOLECULAR/CELL BIOLOGY
  • MINIMUM OF 2-5 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT
  • KNOWLEDGE OF SAFE HANDLING PRACTICES OF HUMAN AND ANIMAL CELLS
  • FAMILIAR WITH PCR AMPLIFICATION TECHNIQUES AND DNA SEQUENCING
  • DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE IN DIFFERENT EXPRESSION SYSTEMS INCLUDING E. COLI/INSECT CELL/MAMMALIAN CELLS
