Job Listing: Project Engineer (EIT)

Project Engineer- EIT- Heavy Highway/Civil Experience

LOCATION: Sacramento, California

REQUIREMENTS:

*Must have degree in Civil Engineering.

* Internship experience with Caltrans or heavy highway/civil general contractor AND/OR 1-2 years experience working for heavy highway/civil general contractor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist the Project Manager, Estimator, and the Superintendent in organizing, controlling, monitoring and recording all activities of the construction management project.

* must have initiative, flexibility, imagination and perseverance to perform duties required. (Job site activities change daily as the construction of the project proceeds)

*Serve as liaison between the owner, architect, engineers, and subcontractors; process administrative work (order changes, submittals, drawings, and billing); interpretation of drawings, specification and field issues; and material and equipment procurement.

ENVIRONMENT:

The work is fast-paced and requires the Project Engineer to be a problem solver and to provide workable solutions to keep the job moving. Being an integral part of the construction team provides Project Engineers with hands-on experience from the beginning of their careers to develop the engineers to become Project Managers or Estimators.
