This Position is under the supervision of the: Heavy Mobile Equipment Repairer Supervisor
Description of the office and working environment: Serve as the chief electronics mechanic performing maintenance duties on various items of electronic and communications equipment. Insures that other workers receive and follow instructions and checks completed work. Independently performs maintenance duties on various items of electronic and communications equipment such as radio receiver, radio telephone equipment, and electronic items, radar, sonar and test equipment. Serves as calibration coordinator arranging with reserve units to send electronic equipment to the AMSA for evacuation to TDA shops for calibration.

Major Duties
Independently performs maintenance duties on various items of electronic and communications equipment such as radio receiver, radio telephone equipment, and electronic items, radar, sonar and test equipment. Serves as calibration coordinator arranging with reserve units to send electronic equipment to the AMSA for evacuation to TDA shops for calibration, keeping necessary records of equipment to be calibrated and insuring that the equipment is calibrated on approved time schedules and that no equipment is evacuated to TDA shops unless completed. Provide technical assistance to unit personnel on equipment operator qualifications and performance of operator and organizational maintenance and maintenance management procedures. Instruction is usually provided as supervised on the job training with incumbent serving as part of a team traveling on-site to the unit(s) requesting assistance.

Trades and Labor
Best Qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they have training or experience in the following areas:Practical knowledge of electrical and electronic theory, with experience in fabrication, installation, modification, overhaul, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment of limited complexity; such as subassemblies, printed circuit cards, and chassis to complete electronic systems. Experience in the operation and applications of computerized automatic test equipment; oscilloscopes, signal/pulse generators, frequency counters, and voltmeters.
Recruitment Incentive and PCS paid Must be new hire to Federal Government or have a break in service from Federal Government. Must incur two year obligation within Department of Defense. Must start on or before 30SEP08.
$3000.00 Recruitment bonus.
PCS paid for the first official duty station.
