a. Knowledge and understanding of the mechanical makeup, operation, and working principles of various systems and subsystems.
b. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and non-mechanical system theories and principles.
c. Skill to replace, fit, install, and adjust systems.
d. Skill in use of test equipment and ability to analyze test results to determine faults for repair or replacement of improperly functioning parts, components, or assemblies.
e. Ability and knowledge to use basic tools common to the occupation.
f. Ability to determine when parts need to be removed, cleaned, and reinstalled or replaced with new or standard parts.
g. Skill in various techniques for removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts and components of equipment supported by the facility.
h. Ability to read and interpret parts lists, repair manuals, technical manuals, schematics, and assembly instructions.
i. Knowledge of supply regulations, bulletins and procedures used in shop.
j. Skill in operation of ULLS-G; familiar with basic welding and metalworking operations; familiar with maintenance on non-automotive equipment used by the organization.
CREDITING NATIONAL GUARD EXPERIENCE: NATIONAL GUARD SERVICE MAY BE CREDITED AS FULL-TIME EXPERIENCE WHEN EVALUATED AGAINST THE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR A MILITARY TECHNICIAN POSITION. EXPERIENCE MUST BE DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE POSITION AND MUST BE DESCRIBED IN THE WORK EXPERIENCE SECTION OF THE APPLICATION.
