Job Listing: Licensing Manager
Volt's client, a local division of a Fortune 500 company and a global supplier of systems and services to the aerospace, defense and homeland security markets is seeking a Licensing Manager. The Licensing Manager will lead the Program Management team through the identification and execution of global licensing agreements for various programs. This role will encourage and lead the formation of strong supplier relationships as well as strategic/tactical sourcing teams designed to foster an environment of trust, openness, and willingness to meet departmental and Company goals and visions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
' Develop specific program international licensing strategies intended to support various manufacturing/organization growth objectives while optimizing returns to the business
' Develop and implement strategies using a strong knowledge of cost accounting, financial analysis and international opportunity identification while ensuring support and participation from key functional areas such as supply chain, finance, operations, and engineering
' Provide oversight to current international licensing agreements to ensure key terms are being met, and aligned with organizational objectives
' Lead cross functional team during the implementation of various license agreements to ensure continuity of supply, and execution is aligned with 'as-expected' conditions
' As the principal point of contact, lead key customer contract negotiations for renewal or extension of current program contracts
' Working with legal to ensure standardization of key licensing and contract terms and conditions to ensure alignment across the division and the enterprise.

Required Skills
' Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline. MBA preferred
' Minimum of 10 years relevant licensing/contract work experience or equivalent in a global manufacturing company with increasing responsibility in a multi-site environment
' Excellent communication skills with an ability to effectively interact at various levels within an organization-logical and organized
' Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial analysis
' Knowledge of import/export restrictions regarding the transfer of technical data
' Strong international business experience including Foreign Military Sales understanding
' Experience managing managers and professionals. Ability to drive teamwork between groups and cross functional teams
' Strategic planning/thinking skills, coupled with analytical and execution skills
' Demonstrated experience and success working in a fast paced, matrix environment satisfying multiple customers
