How to Apply
REGISTRATION/APPLICATION DEADLINES
You MUST complete the following steps to apply for this
announcement. Your application will be considered incomplete and
will not be considered if all required information is not received
before midnight Eastern Time on the closing date of this
announcement.
1. REGISTRATION: (This is different than OPM's USAjobs system or
other Federal agencies that may be using a QuickHire system). Fill
out an Applicant Profile, providing personal and work history
information, including a resume. Resumes may be typed directly into
the system, or can be copied and pasted into the system from a word
processing program. At the end of the registration process, you will
be asked to fax supplemental documentation. Review the "Required
Documents" section of this announcement carefully to determine which
documents are needed to support your application for this vacancy
announcement. Information and documentation submitted during
registration is stored in our database so you can update it as
necessary. You can register without applying for a job vacancy, but
you cannot apply for a vacancy unless you have registered including
posting a resume. You can access the registration page at
https://jobs1.quickhire.com/scripts/gsa.exe or click on the "Apply On-
Line" button at the bottom of the on-line vacancy announcement.
2. ANSWER THE VACANCY SPECIFIC QUESTIONS: Read the announcement
carefully. We recommend that you view the vacancy questions prior to
applying. You may print the questions. Generally, you must respond
to all of the vacancy questions before you can submit your
application. You can save your responses anytime during the
application process. However, you must click on the FINISH button at
the end of the questionnaire for your application to be submitted for
consideration. You will then receive an online message stating that
your application has been successfully transmitted.
3. SUBMIT THE REQUIRED SUPPLEMENTAL DOCUMENTS: A complete listing
of the material that must be submitted to the HR office is provided
in the "Required Documents" section of this announcement. Review
this section for information on which documents are applicable to you
and how to submit. Most of these documents will be requested and
must be submitted during the Registration Process, and will become a
part of your permanent applicant profile record. Other documents,
which are vacancy specific, may be requested upon completion of the
online Vacancy Questionnaire.
If it is not possible for you to apply on line or fax any
supplemental documentation, a representative of the HR Office (listed
on the announcement) will provide assistance to ensure that your
application is submitted by the closing date. However, you must
contact the HR Office prior to the closing date of the announcement
during normal business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and speak to someone
who can provide assistance. E-mailing the GSAjobs mailbox is not
sufficient. If the HR Office determines that it is not possible for
you to submit an on-line application and/or fax your supplemental
documentation, you will be given instructions on how to proceed at
that time. Paper application packages submitted without prior HR
approval will not be considered.
REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION: GSA provides reasonable accommodations to
applicants with disabilities. If you need a reasonable accommodation
for any part of the application or hiring process, please notify the
HR Office immediately. The decision on granting reasonable
accommodation will be on a case-by-case basis.
Required Documents:
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
Read the following instructions carefully. If you fail to submit the
required supplemental documentation by midnight Eastern Time on the
closing date of the announcement, your application will be considered
incomplete. Follow the instructions below:
INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUBMITTING REQUIRED DOCUMENTS:
(1) When you complete the GSAjobs registration process, you will be
directed to a "Generate Auto-Requested Fax Cover Sheets" page. If
you've already registered, return to the GSAjobs registration page at
https://jobs1.quickhire.com/scripts/gsa.exe, log in and select
the "Generate Fax Cover Sheets" option and click "Next". Review the
Required Documents section of the announcement to determine if any of
the documents listed are applicable to you. NOTE: If other
documents are required, specific to this announcement,
another "Generate Auto-Requested Fax Cover Sheets" page will appear
upon completion of the on-line vacancy questionnaire.
(2) Follow instructions to print cover sheets and fax documents
which apply to you. You must fax the appropriate cover sheet and a
legible copy of the corresponding document to the fax number given on
that cover sheet. Since the fax number may be different on each
cover sheet, be sure to fax the cover sheet and corresponding
document to the fax number listed. Each document must be faxed
separately, in separate phone/fax calls, as each cover sheet includes
a unique identification number to ensure your document is processed
correctly.
(3) Upon successful transmission of each faxed document, the fax
machine should generate a confirmation sheet showing the phone number
to which the document was faxed, the number of pages, and the date
and time sent. You should wait to receive this confirmation prior to
faxing subsequent documents as each document must be faxed in a
separate phone call.
(4) Once each document has been successfully received, you will get
an automatic email confirmation from GSAjobs which will be sent to
the email address listed in your GSAjobs applicant profile. You
should receive a separate email confirmation for each document
submitted. If you do not receive an automated email confirmation for
a document, re-fax that cover sheet and document to the number
provided. Do not assume that a document has been received until you
have received a confirmation email.
CHANGING/UPDATING DOCUMENTS:
If you wish to make any changes to your supplemental documents, re-
fax by printing a new cover sheet and faxing to the phone number
provided. Only the most recently faxed version of each document will
be maintained by the system. If you have additions or changes,
please be sure to fax the complete document.
QUESTIONS:
If you have questions on the status of your supplemental documents,
you can check your status on the GSAjobs registration page
(https://jobs1.quickhire.com/scripts/gsa.exe). Log in,
select "Generate Fax Cover Sheets" and click "Next". You will see a
list of all vacancies to which you have applied, and the documents
