The voice and data service provider of choice for over 1,000 communities in the Southeast is hiring an Operations Manager. This Company is in an enormous growth mode. They recently acquired a company out of state, and are currently seeking new acquisitions.

The Operations Manager applies a broad application of techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out related duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and develop an Operations team responsible for the timely, efficient and quality activation of customer voice and data services. Daily operations include:
The processing of local and long distance service orders
Outside Engineering qualifications
Provisioning of Engineering equipment assignments and translations
Customer billing for products and services
Identify and manage key events within the critical path of the order, and proactively address potential fall-out systematically.
Monitor workflow through to completion, in order to ensure that orders are processed within the guidelines of quarterly and annual production objectives.
Possess understanding of upcoming changes and events within the Telecommunications industry, and seek to implement Best Practices.
Create and maintain job aids, Standard Operating Procedures, and technical documentation on a regular basis.
Proactively conduct process analysis, and identify areas of opportunity.
Maintain understanding of Cost and Revenue impacts related to the order process. Identify areas of cost reduction and revenue gain.
Serve as Management Escalation Point of Contact for your team in order to resolve Order Processing issues with ILEC (Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier) and internal support teams by following the escalation guidelines.
Maintain quality as well as productivity standards.
Delegate work to appropriate personnel.
Monitor attendance and work performance.
Provide timely evaluation and training needs assessments of all representatives.
Analyze quarterly and annual data for performance and bonus objectives.
Provide support for departmental projects as needed, and participate in cross-departmental meetings.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervise up to 10 Order Processing/Service Delivery Professionals.
Provide daily leadership and development to employees with the objective of preparing key individuals for future management or leadership opportunities.

Established in 1996, this is a profitable, privately held Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) headquartered in Macon, GA. Today, Our Client offers products and services throughout nine Southeastern states including: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Required Skills
Required Skills for this Operations Manager position include the following:
Must possess a 4-year college degree
Minimum three (3) years of Management experience within the Telecommunication industry (preferably CLEC)
Past proven results in:
Effectively working with and influencing internal and external parties to achieve results
Recommending productivity, process, and system improvements
Mentoring and coaching both employees and peers
Must be proficient with Project Management fundamentals

Familiar with basic Telecommunication Industry terms and Best Practices
