POSITION PROFILE
Manager of Financial Reporting
Prepares and supervises the collection, completion and consolidation of financial data and the preparation of required financial statements and reports for a $4.2B company. Prepares a detailed analytical balance sheet review on a monthly basis for senior management. Ensures the corporate ledgers are maintained and reported accurately. Develops and implements quality control procedures regarding the financial reporting process to assure that the Corporation’s accounting records are recorded in accordance with GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley. Assists with implementation of new accounting pronouncements as they arise.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepares and reviews account analyses and reconciliation.
- Responsible for the accounting, reporting and planning of all corporate-maintained ledgers.
- Assists in the preparation of SEC filings for quarterly earnings release, and quarterly and annual reports to shareholders and other related US census bureau reporting.
- Responsible for preparation of internal financial reports.
- Responsible for the preparation of a detailed monthly balance sheet analytical review for presentation to senior management.
- Maintains working knowledge of GAAP & SEC reporting requirements.
- Serves as liaison with auditors for quarterly & year-end audit assistance & schedule preparation.
- Assists with implementation of new pronouncements and determines their affect on the company’s financial statements.
- Identifies and implements process improvements in the financial reporting area.
- Researches and recommends accounting policies and procedures for unusual transactions
- Assists Director of Accounting and Reporting in complex accounting areas
- Instills extreme customer focused attitude among staff.
- Assures that staff has adequate training/education to enhance performance.
- Completes various special projects and responds to requests from the Controller, Vice President & Chief Accountant and Director of Accounting and Reporting.
REQUIREMENTS:
CPA Certification
Minimum of 6 years of Big 4 experience and work with SEC companies
SOX experience
Excel, Hyperion, and Oracle experience is a strong plus.

Rate: $85,000 to $95,000 per Year
