Job Listing: Sr. Draw Tower Engineer - Phoenix, AZ

A client of Aerotek's located in the North Valley of Phoenix, AZ is currently looking for a Senior Draw Tower Engineer. This Engineer is responsible for drawing, laying, and producing fibers to be used for illumination, communications, sensing, or other applications that transmit, and in some cases manipulate, light and other electromagnetic waves.

Qualified candidates must have:
1. Graduated from a four-year college or university, with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering.
2. Minimum 5 years industrial experience in optical fiber draw
3. Functional knowledge of draw tower components
4. Familiar with automation and verification techniques

Skills:
1. Strong troubleshooting methodology to determine root cause of problems
2. Evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation
3. Communicate effectively with all levels of manufacturing and senior management

Principal Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Directing the design, selection and installation of new equipment
2. Establish equipment specifications and manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity
3. Direct tower activities to meet production, quality and cost goals
4. Prioritize production schedules based on delivery dates, equipment efficiencies and material supplies
5. Develop and administer schedules, procedures and manpower requirements for the area
6. Maintain production equipment to minimize downtime
7. Oversee operators to insure proper equipment operation, maintenance and repair
