Job Listing: Marketing Assistant

Our client, a major Bio-Technology firm in West Sacramento, is seeking an entry level Marketing Assistant to support the business development and sales teams. Candidates must have a 4-year college degree and at least internship experience in marketing.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Confers with management on issues pertaining to market strategy, product introduction, marketing, sales and support
- Develops marketing campaigns and collateral
- Assumes a key role in developing business opportunities for assigned markets
- Interacts with the sales, customer service and production teams on multiple levels
- Propose, seek approval for, and implement marketing communications programs, including branding, marketing collateral and trade shows
- Work closely with all support functions and pertinent external vendors to ensure that business objectives are met on schedule
- Work with EVP, Production and Accounting to ensure quality products and revenue recognition
- Prepare business plans and propose strategic market moves
- Create and implement strategic and tactical marketing programs
- Contribute to ideas and specifications for new product development.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong leadership skills. Ability to inspire teamwork and bring focus to complex projects. Excellent communicator and self-motivator
- Bachelors degree, preferably in a scientific discipline
- Marketing experience, preferably in the biotechnology or medical research arena
- Highly skilled in verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and facilitation skills; ability to multi-task
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Internet skills
