Job Listing: Aircraft Mechanic Electrician

Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems. This mechanic repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills. This worker reads and interprets manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components


Minimum of five years experience as a MH-53E or MH-60S electrician. Military experience is desired on MH-53E or MH-60S aircraft. May be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration. Must possess a valid drivers license. Must consent to drug testing and, if required, be approved for security clearence. May be required to work away from home base 2-3 times a year for short durations. Must obtain certifiction as an MH-53E and/or MH-60S Plane Captain and Collateral Duty Inspector within six months of employment. Must provide own Personal Protective Equipment.
