Job Listing: Set Up Mechanic

Aerotek Performance Resources is a national company that is currently seeking a Setup Mechanic to support our manufacturing, light assembly, and packaging operations in the Fort Mill area of South Carolina.

Responsibilities are as follows:

-Operate and maintain semi-automatic and/or high speed assembly equipment.
-Check product being produced to specified Quality Inspection Plan to assure conformance to requirements.
-Make minor machine repairs as detailed in operating procedures.
-Responsible for making adjustments to the machine due to dull, out of the adjustment, broken tooling, sensors, etc.
-Review troubleshooting guidelines and/or machine operations manual as required prior to making repair.
-Recommend improvement changes to processes and procedures to improve such factors as quality and quantity of product.
-Insure tooling meets print prior to being put back into machine.
-Set-up machines per machine/order specification.
-Other job assignments may be necessary based on production requirements.

Requirements are as follows:
-Ability Read and interpret Blueprints
-2 year Technical Degree in mechanical, industrial technology, molding technology or related field with 5 years work experience or equivalent work experience.
-Must have the ability to disassemble and re-assemble various types of mechanical devices, have an understanding of pneumatics, PLC input and output devices as well as basic trouble shooting techniques.
-Must possess the ability to analyze and repair a variety of complex assembly machines and robotic equipment.
-Should have a basic understanding of machining.
