Job Listing: Java Developer

TEKsystems is seeking a Java Developer for a medium term contract assignment with a large client in Champaign IL.

The successful candidate will assist with development of a vendor database and should have experience in the following areas -

- Java Development experience building J2EE compliant apps
- Experience building JSP and Java Servlets
- Experience w/ Unix/Linux Operating System
- Experience with XML and various XML editors
- SQL skills in an Oracle database environment (10 G experience preferred)
- Strong Documentation Skills

Bonus Skills:
-Experience doing Packaging and deployments using ANT
-Use of Version control systems such as CVS
-Experience with Application Servers especially Tomcat
-Experience with XML transforms using XSLT
-Ability to code using Java Script
-Experience writing applications using AJAX/ Web 2.0 Techniques
-Experience with message based applications using JMS specifications
