Job Listing: Quality Assurance Technician

Aerotek is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Technician, with a minimum of 2-3 years experience, for a client located in the Corning, NY area.

The purpose of this position is to inspect/evaluate piece part or assembly being purchased to ensure it is built to drawing and conforms to specification

The major objective is to validate that the product does what the customer requires, before shipment.

Required Skills
1. Understand general manufacturing processes
2. Understand documentation required to enable efficient running of those manufacturing processes to produce a quality product
3. Understand and be able to audit a company's Quality Management System and it's manufacturing processes
4. Be able to inspect to drawing any piece part or assembly presented, including setting up and leading FAI's.
5. Be able to write clear consise reports, NCR, etc.
6. Liaise with purchasing, program management, production, on priorities for supplier evaluations, audits, FAI's, and problem solving issues.

Education Required
An Associates degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred. Equivalent experience would be seriously considered. Good working knowledge of ISO 9001-2000 and ability to assess and audit processes and procedures is also required.
