TEKsystems has partnered with one of the top 5 government integrators and their Homeland Security Solutions Division is seeking a Technical Tester. This is a 6 month contract to hire opportunity with TEKsystems and our client which is starting immediately. The location for this opportunity is Northwest DC at Vermont and K Street (metro accessible by the Blue and Orange line) and the compensation is $60,000 to $80,000 depending upon experience and a performance based interview with TEKsystems and our client.

What we are trying to accomplish with technology:

Testing DHS Windows machines, Ghosting, Testing the images, Testing the components and Security Settings. The new Tester will have the opportunity to learn new skill sets and have the opportunity for upward mobility. Will work in a fully independent test facility.

Job Description (Day to day):

Conducts Independent Test and Evaluation of new and existing DHS/ICE systems. Testing responsibilities include System Acceptance Testing, System Security Testing and vulnerability scanning, Section 508 compliance testing, and automated Business Process Testing. Writes test plans, test cases/scripts, status reports and test summary reports as required.

Required Skills:

Technical Tester
Security Experience – 1 year of hands on
Windows proficiency
Desktop Images
MCSE or related certifications are a PLUS

a. Security experience (A Plus)
b. 508 compliance experience (A Plus)
c. Performance testing (A Plus)
d. Load runner (A Plus)
e. Perform documentation/daily status reports
f. Prepare meetings/presentations

Pluses:

MCSE or related certifications are a PLUS

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience. 11 years of experience will be considered in lieu of Degree.

Clearances/Certifications necessary:

Clearable for DHS Public Trust Clearance

Interview Process:

Phone interview with the Project Manager and her team. If successful, the next step will be a face to face interview at the client site.

15 Team members in a fully independent test facility

Duration:

6 months to permanent

Perm Salary:

$65,000 to $80,000 depending upon experience and a performance based interview with TEKsystems and our client.
