Job Listing: Health and Safety Technologist

A progressive environmental health & safety management company, has an immediate opening for a H&S Technologist in its office located in the Longwood Medical Area. Responsibilities include laboratory inspections, emergency equipment inspections, respirator fit testing, indoor air quality/incident investigations, emergency response, and Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Environmental Protection (MADEP), Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MADPH), Massachusetts Water Resource Authority (MWRA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) compliance activities.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical/environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, or safety, and one year to two years of experience in a similar laboratory-type environment. Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training is desirable. This person will report directly to the Manager of Environmental Health and Safety.
