The Information Security Analyst provides technical assessment, policy, and governance and is a key team member within the NCPHI Information Security Activity in ensuring information security compliance and maintaining various NCPHI information system programs. The incumbent implements information security protections and controls per the FISMA framework commensurate with the risk and magnitude of the harm resulting from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction of information and information systems; fosters information security awareness among the Federal and Contractor employees throughout NCPHI thru ongoing monitoring of information systems; assists Programs in achieving and maintaining certification and accreditation as prescribed by the CDC Office of the Chief Information Security Officer; recommending secure procedures and practices, and alerting employees of emerging threats; ensuring compliance with HHS and CDC information security policies, Federal laws and regulations, and other applicable directives; evaluating and performing technical assessments of information systems and providing solutions to facilitate and ensure appropriate security protections.
BS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related degree and 5 years experience in information assurance.
