Job Listing: Engineering Technician (oil & gas)

Aerotek is currently hiring a Field Service Engineer/Technician for an oil and gas utility in the South Hills area.


Responsibilities:
-Provide technical assistance and support for the Technical and Field Operations staff involved in the construction, operation, and maintenance of distribution facilities.
-Assist with design of gas facilities which includes mains, services, and M & R
-Identify problems and recommend solutions
-Visit job sites, work with contractors, prepare contracts, bid packages, job orders, and construction estimates
-Assist on scheduling large projects
-Attend highway meetings, interpret construction plans, advise on sizing and the routing of pipelines
-Assist with coordinating the capital budget program
-Conduct Network Analysis studies utilizing Stoner studies
-Additional duties include updating and maintenance of peak day operating data and MAOP documentation files

Qualifications:
-Strong analytical skills
-Ability to interpret technical data
-Ability to interpret plat maps, survey information and property records
-Strong interpersonal skills with internal and external customers
-Strong organization and planning skills and a get it done attitude
-Must be extremely self motivated and have the ability to work independently
-PC applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Auto Cad are preferred
-Must be detail oriented
-Two year technical degree
