Job Description/Daily Tasks:
This Process Engineer position supports the production of their inlaid commercial sheet vinyl products. Responsible for providing technical leadership and support to client, troubleshooting problems related to the process or product. Also responsible for all aspects of inlaid product quality, including but not limited to: development and support of quality control systems, modification of procedures and/or equipment as needed to improve quality or reduce cost, evaluation of new raw materials, investigation & root cause determination of customer complaints, participation in new product development projects, and development of product specifications as needed to ensure that product meets or exceeds customer expectations.

This position requires hands on, day to day technical process support for the commercial production operations. Responsible for the development of sustainable systems to bring the process under control and drive understanding to all levels of the operation. Involves identifying, analyzing and leading process problem solving and improvement efforts. Working as a team member to achieve established goals is required. Good communication and coaching skills are needed daily. Initial priorities will be safety, quality and efficiency improvements.

Typical Day looks like: review daily productions numbers, review process control sheets, attend pre req meetings, lead meetings on group projects, work on cross function projects, be the go to person with certain projects and work, bi monthly updates and presentations of data. 80% will be on the production floor and 20% will be in the office.

Qualifications Needed:
-BS Degree in Mechanical and Chemical preferred
-3+ years experience in industrial manufacturing and process control.
-Familiarity with process improvement and problem solving techniques, including Lean/Six Sigma tools and processes
-Previous proven experience in process engineering and in project engineering/project management
-Process control system and techniques- SPC, trending, SOP’s, data collection and analysis
-Raw material manufacturing experience
-Very mechanically inclined- needs to be hands on and not scared to get dirty and work on the production floor
